LUCY VIRGINIA ENGLAND

Lucy Virginia Johnson England, 92, of Salem, VA, passed away April 22, 2017.
Lucy was born in Keystone WV.

Lucy is survived by her sister, Betty Fleming, Marietta, Ohio, Daughter, Deborah Kittridge, North Port, Florida (Rick), daughter Ronda Crowder, Roanoke VA (Chick), and son R. Kenneth England II, Salem, VA (Sue). She has 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 very dear nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, R. Kenneth England, her parents, Charles and Cora (Lanter) Johnson of Bluefield, WV and Brother-in-Law, Mr. Donald P. Fleming.

Lucy grew up in Keystone WV and moved to Roanoke to attend National Business College. Upon graduation she worked as a clerk for Norfolk and Western Railway, and in later years, at Lakeside Amusement Park, and as a sales representative for Orvis. She had a love for music and was a gifted piano player who played regularly at La Maison Du Gourmet and she had deep compassion for the care of animals.

A private graveside service was held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
