Shorty was a very special man to all that knew him. I had the pleasure of meeting him over 30yrs ago at Franklin Co. Speedway and remained friends with him and his family. I had the pleasure of knowing his wife, who was a fabulous lady, but tough when it can to her husband and son in racing, lol. Shorty had a kind soul and a big heart, always there to help anyone in need. He was a ONE OF A KIND!!! He truly loves his family and was always there for them, along with all of the non related family that loved him like a father. My love and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time, but he is at rest now, no more sickness, with his loving Jackie and Jimmy, also our guardian angel.
Fly high and keep us all safe until we see you again.

I have lots of great memories of Donald at the race track. He could make most anything and I remember him telling he liked to watch the cars that had his parts on them. I know he will be missed but never forgotten. Glad I got to be friends with Donald and all the people around him.
