Brianna was my roommate and a best friend to me while I lived at Roanoke Mission. She was definitely an angel and I will truly miss her. It saddens m heart of her loss but I know her spirit will always remain as a guardian angel to me and also to her nieces and nephews to whom were so special to her. Pat and Tom your daughter helped me so much in my journey through the Mission and again on my trip to CA to be with my daughter. And Pat I will always remember all of the nice things that you did for me as well at the mission! I will keep you in my prayers and if I can ever be of service to you or any family members please feel free to ask and I will be there. Love you deeply and my sincere regrets to having not been able to attend Brianna's funeral.

Dear Pat and Tom,

I was saddened to hear of Bri's passing. I was reminded of the good times (and baked spaghetti) we shared together and her radiant smile and contagious laugh. She touched many people through her kindness and good will. I know Bree-z is with God playing and laughing with the angles. My heartfelt prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Much Love, Channa Pickett

I met Brianna through LWCC. Soon after she was coming we hosted a Sunday afternoon lunch and volleyball at our house for some of the young adults. Brianna stayed indoors and talked with me and was so open and honest about her life at that time. I was impressed by that because it said she was humble and honest and open and wanted to see big change in her life. And big change happened! She was baptized, went on medical mission trips, and cleaned my teeth (Greg is my dentist). I never, ever saw Brianna without her brilliant smile! And usually, I got a hug. What a sweet young lady! We have lost someone special. But heaven gained a precious person. I look forward to seeing her smile when I go home. I did not get to speak to you all at her service ( I did get to sing a song she sang) but I want you to know that we were also friends on FB and through her posts I could tell she loved her family! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time in your life.

I remember John Sylvester-Johnson was trying to teach all of us program participants some old hymn at a morning start one morning in fralin chapel. He made us all stand up and sing. Brianna and I were on the back row beside each other with others. We found the song boring. Suddenly Brianna nudges me and we began to sway left and right smiling and laughing. It wasn't long before everyone on the back row joined in. John, in good humor, suddenly yells "are you guys gonna start a Congo line back there!?" It was hilarious. That was the kind of person Brianna was. She was spontaneous and bright. She will be missed.

Share a memory of BRIANNA GAYLE DAVIS, or send a condolence to the family...I was blessed to have been able to have shared a room with Brianna. She was generous on so many levels. Her faith was passionate yet she walked quietly with purpose and grace. I am grateful for the time we had. I pray for comfort and peace for all of you and I hope in time that the knowledge of what a beautiful spirit Brianna was to so many will bring you you comfort.

One of my first Rally times as an employee at the Mission was Brianna's graduation. I was so impressed with her courage, her honesty, and most of all her very tender, sweet spirit. I didn't have the opportunity to know her well, but I remember how she lit up the Program just with her presence. Everyone who knew her adored her.
My basset puppy would go with me to work. Brianna was clearly his first crush. He adored belly rubs, but when she would walk into the monitor's area, he would run to her and roll over to get a belly scratch…and immediately he'd lose control and there would be 'a fountain of joy.' Long after he was house trained, Brianna still got the same results from him. She excited him such that he just couldn't contain himself.
Know your daughter had a tremendous impact on all living things -- humans and animals. Her way-too-short life was a gift.
You all are much remembered in thoughts and prayers. In the silent times, may good memories be healing for each of you.
