MELVIN KENT DILLMAN

Melvin K. Dillman, 90, of Salem, Va., passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Lewis Gale Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Dillman and Eliza Turley; a brother, Claude K. Dillman; a sister, Virgie Schaffer.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Dillman, of Salem; a sister, Dora Atkins (June), of Maybrook, Va.; sons, Wayne Dillman (Jean) of Salem;
Barry Gordon (Marjorie) of Salem; grandson, Bradford Dillman and fiancée, Courtney, of Salem; granddaughter, Crystal Scott (Chris) of Roanoke; great grandson, Bryce Scott; nephews, JK Schaffer, of Roanoke, Larry Atkins, of Maybrook; nieces, Dorothy Perdue, of Maybrook, Sandra Farmer, of Salem, Amy Gordon, of Galax; brother in law, Larry Meadows and wife Connie of Salem; mother in law, Helen Meadows of Mavisdale, VA; special friend and neighbor, Charlie Kendricks, of Salem.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Lotz Salem Chapel with burial to follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from
6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
