William "Jack" Edward Yager, Jr.

William “Jack” Edward Yager, Jr, 90, passed away on March 3, 2023 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke.

A native of Virginia, he was the husband of the late Peggy Thomas Yager and the son of William and Evelyn Yager, both deceased. Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict as a B-29 airplane mechanic. He was a member of Community Advent Christian Church. Jack was also an avid racing fan and loved cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cindy Bradshaw and husband Vic; his son, Eddy Yager and wife Gail; one grandson, Logan Yager; one sister, Betsy Mercy and husband Peter; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Pastor T.G. Ayers officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
