Virginia Martin Wells

Virginia M. Wells (92) of Northern Virginia, died peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Spring Arbor Cottage of Leesburg after a long battle with Dementia.

Virginia was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon M. Wells, her parents Graden and Zettie Martin, four brothers Robert Martin, Roy Martin,  James Martin and Edward Martin, and one sister Kathleen Alls. She is survived by her two sons Steven B. Wells (Karen) and Mark T. Wells, one daughter Elizabeth Samson (Will); four grandchildren Jason and Deanna Wells, Zoe and Noah Oldham; one great-grandson Sean Nelson; and three sisters Evelyn Yates, Dorothy Boothe, and Nancy Whitmer (Robert); multiple nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the excellent care she received over the past four and a half years at Spring Arbor, and in recent months the hospice care provided by Capital Caring Health.

Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Lotz Funeral Home, 1330 East Main Street, Salem, VA 24153 followed by a service celebrating her life at 11:00 a.m.
