Virginia Evans Bailey

 Virginia Lee Evans Bailey died peacefully on a spring-like morning, November 18, 2021. She was 99 years old.  She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on May 9, 1922, but lived her entire life in Roanoke, Va, most of it right next door to her parents, Claude Eugene Evans and Beulah Harrison Evans.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, James Allen Bailey, Sr., and her brother, Claude Earl Evans. She is survived by her three children: C. Beth Obenschain, James Allen Bailey, Jr, and Marjorie Jane Glasscock; six grandchildren: Kristina, Brian, Sarah, Benjamin, Bailey, and Mitchell, and eight great-grandchildren. Her passing is also mourned by Earl's children: Richard Evans, Cynthia Fitzgerald, Robert Evans, and Reese Evans.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the Salem Lotz Funeral Home, Saturday at 1pm followed by the memorial service at 2pm.
