Shannon Allen Callahan

Shannon Allen Callahan, 42, of Salem, VA was tragically taken from us on June 17, 2022. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, nephew, grandson, and papa. He was loved greatly by his whole family.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Jamie Richardson Callahan; mother, Donna Rose; stepfather, Jerome (Hank) Rose; father, Thomas Callahan; his children, Ava Callahan and Linkin Callahan; his brothers; Kyle Rose, Chase and Tommy Callahan; sisters, Michelle, Katie, and Caley Callahan; granddaughter, Braelynn Heisler; and his grandmother, Dolly Callahan. He had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he loved dearly.

Shannon was a light that lit up any room he walked into. He always had a smile on his face. He had an amazing personality and sense of humor. His charismatic personality will live on forever.

Shannon loved his family like no other. His children were his life. Watching them excel was his greatest joy. Spending time with his children and granddaughter was his favorite thing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shannon and Rebecca Jones and Calvin Callahan.

We will be celebrating his life Friday, June 24th at Lotz Salem Chapel. We will be receiving family and friends from 5:00 until 6:00 pm and a service will be at 6:00 pm.
