Ronnie Lee Reed

Ronnie Lee Reed, 86, of Salem went to be with the Lord by his loving wife Emma Lee Reed On May 9, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lee Reed; and his parents, Donald Reed and Thelma Reed.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, Don Reed and wife Vicky; daughters, Kathy Reed and Janet Saunders and husband Junius; grandchildren, April Carico, Amanda Lafferty and husband Jay. Jessica Parrish and husband David, Courtney Stovall and husband Joshua, Evan Collins, and Chadd Reed; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Whitt and husband Jerry and Mary King; and a host of family and friends.

Our family would like to thank Hospice and his caretakers Michelle Cunningham and granddaughter Whitney Parrish for their dedication and loving care of him.

He was an active member of Fort Lewis Baptist Church. He volunteered for many committees, he was a deacon, an amazing Sunday School Teacher, and known for never saying no to anything asked of him. Ronnie was part of a CD ministry during COVID. All of this is part of his legacy.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 2:00 until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.

 The Angels will sing and God will smile.
