Ronald Scott Grimes

May 21, 1963 ~ November 25, 2022 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Tribute

Ronnie returned to his Great Creator on November 25, 2022 .

He is survived by his wife Melissa Walker Grimes, son Jayson Grimes who currently resides in Germany, mother Maxine Grimes and brother Michael Grimes both of Pulaski, Va.

He was born May 21, 1963 to John and Maxine (Williams) Grimes in Richmond, Va., but lived in Pulaski, Va. for most of his life, and was preceded in death by his father John Grimes, and two brothers Ray and Gary Grimes, all who resided in Pulaski, Va.

The last place of employment for Ronnie was Boncote,  now known as Heytex. He worked there until 2013.

Ronnie was extremely proud of his son Jayson and of his great accomplishments, particularly his educational achievements, as well as his Nomadic tendencies.

Ronnie has touched and/ or became a part of so many lives not only in places he lived, but also at music events, festivals or even at the grocery store; he never met a stranger.   With his mild manner and soft voice, he touched a lot of kids lives as well as helped raise them. He never met a child that he didn’t make a connection with, especially his Godson Dawson Matthew Corvin (Big D) and Juliana Sophia Barker (Juju).  He had very special places in his heart for these two; he always spent time with them and they loved their uncle Ronnie.

Ronnie loved the outdoors and spent time communing with all aspects of nature while embracing his Indian heritage. He loved watching, feeding, holding and talking to all kinds of life, from ants to birds and snakes, it did not matter.  Every creature was treated with love, kindness and respect.

The real love of his life was Melissa.   He loved and protected her.  He walked by her side daily as an equal.  Never said a cross word to her. He stood with her daily as he helped make his way through this world, knowing that he would be called away sometime in the future.  She is his wife with whom he had an earthly physical connection for 13 years and now he will remain spiritually connected to her for all  eternity.
