RITA WHEELER FURROW

Rita Arlene (Wheeler) Furrow, 65 years old, of Salem, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

She was born on June 26, 1954.  Rita was proceeded in death by her loving husband, George Irvin Furrow, Sr; birth mother, Glenna Jean Mills; father; Stanley Wheeler; sister, Teresa Mills; brother, Bruce Mills; life-long companion, Danny Britt.

She's survived by her son, George I Furrow Jr. (Joe); daughter, Angela Dawn Furrow (Doodle); granddaughter, Paula Gracie Allanson (Pee Doo); great grandson, Gary Wadelyn Early; mother, Mildred Wheeler; brothers, Vernon and Debbie Wheeler, Gary and Donna Wheeler, Andy and Tammy Mills; sisters, Tina and Tim Badger, Jackie Wheeler Spangler, Connie Mills, Becky and Curtis Horne; as well as many nephews and nieces; and of course her fur baby and best friend Miss Ijjy. 

A very special thanks to Connie, Tina, Gary, Jackie, and Tim for all their love, comfort, and support during this time.

Also a very special thanks to her daughter, Angie whom stepped up and was her mother’s caretaker throughout her whole illness. 

A celebration of life will be held at Halls Church, Elliston Va. on December 7th, 2019. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. A short service will start at 1:00pm and will have lunch afterwards.
