Ricky L Walters

Ricky L Walters, 60, of Blue Ridge passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

A native of Virginia he was the husband of 36 years to Robin Walters, who survives, and the son of David Lee Walters, Sr. and Helen Marie Walters, both deceased. He attended Riverside Evangelical Methodist Church. Ricky had a love for the outdoors. Most of all he was known as a “professional papaw” for his deep love for his granddaughter, Serena. Ricky, Robin, and Serena loved taking road trips together along with multiple trips a week for Ricky and Serena to the Blue Ridge Service Center to spend hours with Ricky’s friends.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Amber Leigh Walters and Tabatha Lynn Walters; two sisters; four brothers; and most of all the love of his life granddaughter, Serena Danyelle.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2020 from Noon until 2:00 pm at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
