Rebecca Fay Mowbray Cromer

Fay Cromer, 87, of Salem, Virginia passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born April 14, 1934 in Keezletown, Virginia to James and Armenta Mowbray. 

She worked for Glenvar High School 44 years.  She loved doing yardwork, watching the University of Virginia football games and going fishing with her husband. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roscoe (RC) Cromer; her parents, James and Armenta Mowbray; her brothers, Jack Mowbray and Jim Mowbray; sister, Darlene Shifflette.

She is survived by her son, Stephen (Kathy) Cromer; brother, Guy (Betty) Mowbray; sisters-in-law, Dot Mowbray and JoAnne Mowbray; a special niece, Carolyn Davis and her husband, James (Buster); and also several nieces and nephews.

Per Fay’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials can be made to the Humane Society or the Salem Animal Shelter.
