Patricia Cecil Price

Patricia C. (Pat) Price, 83, of Salem, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, after an extended battle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart husband, William T. (Bill) Price, Sr.; her parents, Russell and Frances Cecil; and two brothers, Allen and Larry Cecil. Those left to honor her and cherish precious memories are her daughter Ginger Price Taylor (and Ted Puckett) of Salem; her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Beth Price of Chamblissburg; grandchildren, Corey Taylor (and finance’ Kaitlin Harlow), Carter Taylor (and Sierra Messinger), Taylor (and Ed) Rook, Zach Price, Hannah (and Thomas) Payne, Gabriel (and Rebecca) Price; and a brother and sister-in-law Richard and Mary Cecil. She was blessed to have six great grandchildren, Logan and Aaron Price; Alison, Victor and Simon Rook and Avery Payne; numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends--Gerry Bower, Jean Toti and Lynne Linkous and family.

Pat worked for many years at General Electric and began her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in her vegetable garden during the summer months. She never shied away from hard work and would often be seen mowing the lawn, trimming shrubbery and shoveling snow. Every year at Christmas time, she loved fixing treats to share with friends, neighbors and family. Pat was devoted to every member of her family, especially her four-legged fur babies. Pat never met a stranger; her gentle soul and sweet, generous personality were adored by many.

The family would like to offer well-deserved recognition and appreciation to everyone who worked tirelessly to help care for Pat throughout her declining health--Judy Crouse, the team from Good Samaritan Hospice (Clara, Tammy, Kayla, Allie and Sandra) and the dedicated staff at Salem Health and Rehab.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Sherwood Memorial Park. A brief visitation will be held prior to the graveside service beginning at 10 a.m.at Lotz Funeral Home.
