Norma Jean Gunn Morgan

Norma Jean Gunn Morgan, age 93, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2019 at her home at The Park Oak Grove Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Morgan, her parents, John W. Gunn, Sr. and Lila Florence Gunn, her sisters, Marjorie G. Carter, Wanda G. Wiseley, her brother,  John W, “Billy” Gunn, Jr.,

Norma is survived by nephews, Jimmy Carter, Richard Wiseley, Jay Gunn, Michael Gunn, niece Billie Ann English and several great nephews, nieces and sister-in-law Janet Gunn, special friend, Brenda Rowe. and  the Melrose  Church family .

Norma was a long time member of Melrose Baptist Church and Hillcrest # 159 Order of the Eastern Star. She retired after 40 years of faithful service to the United States Government Veterans Administration. She ended her career as Secretary in the Radiology Department at the VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Lotz Salem Chapel conducted by the Rev. Brenda Rowe and the Rev. Amy Ziglar, Visitation will be 1 hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Melrose Baptist Church.
