Muriel Davis

Muriel Mae Young Davis, 95, of Salem, VA passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
She was retired from the Celanese Corporation in Narrows, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Effie Young; husband Homer Davis; son, Gary Davis; sisters Ruby Munsey and Dorothy Joplin; brothers, Woody Young, Ernest Young, and Buford Young.

Muriel is survived by a son, Dan Davis (Ginger); daughter Jean Lineberry (Wayne); sisters, Janice Fisher (Curtis), Joyce Kincaid (Jim), Judy Gauthier (Ray), and Debbie Martin (James); brothers, David Young (Almeta), and Grady Young (Margaret); grandchildren, Dale Davis,, Darryl Davis (Jeania), Dewey Davis (Mary), Denise Cox, Allison Gray (Will); great grandchildren, Josie Davis, Rachel Davis, D.J. Davis, Haley Davis, , Weston Davis, Parker Davis, Carson Cox, and Baby Gray, due in August; also numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Muriel’s Life will be held on Friday, April 27 at 2:30 pm at Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Salem, VA, with Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, VA. Her family will receive friends at 1:00 pm, prior to the service at Locust Grove Church.
