LARRY JACKSON PAINTER

Larry Jackson “Jack” Painter, 84, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was a modest man.  He was loved by everyone who knew him.  He was a faithful, very active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Salem for over 43 years.  He retired from a career as an auto mechanic. 

Surviving are his beloved wife of 53 years, Darlene Scaggs Painter; and a brother, Albert Painter. 

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers on 2 West at the Virginia Veterans Care Center. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at Lotz Salem Chapel with Rev. Roger Counts officiating.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Heights Cemetery in Blue Ridge.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
