Kate Ella Lineberry Harmon Angle

Kate Ella transitioned from her earthly body to be at rest with our Lord on May 13, 2022. She was born December 24, 1926 in Galax, VA to Ralph and Josie Littreal Lineberry.

She was educated in Carroll County, Woodlawn High School, class of 1943. After graduation from West Virginia Business College, she immediately accepted a position with The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC and worked there during World War II.

Preceding her in death was her husband of fifty-seven years, Carson Dale Harmon, and her son, Wayne Dale Harmon. Also, two brothers, five sisters, and her late husband of 15 years, Rev. James Shank Angle.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary H. Powers Reaser (Dennis); two grandsons, Alan Powers (Susan), and Philip Powers; two great grandsons, Remington Powers (Ashley) and Jacob Powers; one great great grandson, James Colt Powers; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.

She was a longtime member of Melrose Baptist Church and Choir member.

She retired from Woods, Rogers Law Firm after 30 years of service, and maintained part-time employment at Lotz Salem Chapel and the Roanoke and Salem Civic Centers until recently.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be held in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
