Juanita “Teena” Poff McLain, 94, of Roanoke passed away at her residence on March 9, 2022.
A native of Virginia she was the wife of the late John Thomas McLain, Jr. and the daughter of Joseph Byron Poff and Hazel Fowler Poff, both deceased. She was a founding member of Connley Memorial Baptist Church. Teena enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and was an avid bowler. She was a member of the Antique Automotive Club.
She is survived by three children, Dianne Scartz and husband Ray, Pat Hogan and husband Robert, and John T. McLain, III and wife Monica; four grandchildren, Shannon Hodges and husband Jeff, Christy Hogan, Riley McLain, and Jack McLain; three great grandchildren, Gage Chisom and wife Amber, Andrew Mayo, and Lindsey Hogan; two great great grandchildren, Alivia Chisom and Averie Chisom; two sisters, Sue Watson and Betty Francisco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Myra Stiglich and Frances McGraw; and one brother, Joseph Byron Poff, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 10:00 until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
