James "Jimmy" Brian Hall

James Brian Hall, known as “Jimmy” by family and friends, age 54, of Roanoke, VA died on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born on July 2, 1967, the son of Ruth and James “Willard” Hall of Salem, VA.

Jimmy attended Northside High School and Arnold R. Burton Vocational School in Roanoke. He grew up attending Catawba United Methodist Church, participated in Boy Scouts at Catawba, and played sports through the Mason Cove Rec Club. Jimmy also worked for his friend at Franklin & Son Septic Tank in Roanoke for many years. 

Jimmy never tired of adventure on anything with an engine, especially motorcycles or 4-wheelers, and he was quick to laugh and thought the world of his dogs and friends.

Surviving are his parents, Ruth and Willard Hall of Salem, VA, his sister Elizabeth (and Brian) Barger of Matthews, NC, two stepdaughters Amanda Akers and Sarah Alekwider, two nieces Meagan and Emily Barger, and his former wife, Rhonda Adams. Also surviving are two very special friends: Danielle Hodge who called him “brother” and Larry Franklin, both of Roanoke.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, July 30th, 10-11am at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, VA. Pastor Ben Lockhart will lead a memorial service at the Lotz Chapel at 11am. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke.
