Jacob Lee Roberts, 26, of Salem passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
A native of Virginia he was the son of John “Buddy” Roberts and April Dawn Wilmoth Roberts who survive. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and worked as a diesel mechanic. Jacob had many passions which included hunting, fishing, ATV riding, hound dogs, and yellow cats. He enjoyed collecting guns and knives. Jacob was also an avid Star Wars fan.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, Emma Roberts; his sister, Micaela Roberts and boyfriend Adam Clark; niece, Faith Taylor Clark; maternal grandmother, Frances Wilmoth; two aunts, Ellen Stevens and husband Avery and Kristy Goad and husband Archie; five cousins, Johnny Ruff, Jr; Dakota Goad, and Tiana Goad, Cindy Stevens, and Daniel Stevens; his great aunt, Phyllis Johnson; close friends, Noel Pease and Samuel "DJ" Myers; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Buddy MacArthur Wilmoth; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Johnny Roberts; his uncle, Jeff Duane Wilmoth; maternal great grandparents, Alex and Rachael Waldron; and close friend, James “Standing Bear” Vilagi.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
