Jackie Wayne Kanode

Jackie Wayne Kanode, 70, of Salem, passed away on November 23, 2022.

He was born September 3, 1952, and was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Milton Kanode, and wife, Deborah Lynn Pendleton Kanode. He leaves behind his mother, Opal Claudine Kanode; daughter, Summer Tetterton and husband, John; son, Scott Kanode and wife, Krista; brothers, Buddy Kanode (Karen) and Mel Kanode (Donna), two grandsons, Finley Scott and Kier Ellis-Grey Kanode; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and close friends. Jackie was an avid sports fan who loved all things VT, Nascar and Boston Red Sox. He was a talented magician and known for his lighthearted ways of not taking life too seriously.

A graveside service to celebrate his life and remember the good times will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 2pm, at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Lotz Funeral Home- Salem, from 5pm-7pm. Gratitude is extended to all recent and past medical professionals who provided treatment and support to Jackie.
