Jerry Hale, Jr.

Jerry Thornton Hale, Jr. 84 of Salem passed away April 6, 2022. He was born on February 18,1938. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Hale; his little sisters, Brenda Gail Hale and Mary Hale; and half-brother Ross Harris, Jr.

He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Hale; and his sister, Josephine aka Jo Moorefield (Garry); and his four children and their spouses: Larry Hale, Sr. (Mel), Debbie Hodges (Bobby), Perry Hale, Sr. (Angie) and Terry Saul (Larry). He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren; Sqreekie aka Christy, Larry Hale, Jr., Lacy Ross (Jerry), Perry Hale, Jr.;and 4 great-grandchildren, Joshua Hale-Coe, Autumn Coe, Jocelyn Ross and Destiny Ross.

The ole man enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, sitting on his porch enjoying the view or gardening. He loved to be surrounded by his family if you combined the two he was a happy man. He liked playing cards, tinkering on things around the house, going over the mountain with his grandson, Perry, and Thursday night dates with his granddaughter, Sqreekie.  He was one of the best men you could ever meet, he is going to be greatly missed by all.

The family will be accepting friends and family at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on April 11, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. immediately followed by the service.
