Holly Renee (Harris) Myers
08-14-84-10-08-20
Holly was a lifelong resident of Salem and a graduate of Glenvar High School and National College. Her top concern and priority in life was the well being of her two beautiful boys. She was the perfect combination of Tomboy and GirlyGirl. She loved hoodies, muddin', 4 wheelin', and fast cars, especially Mustangs. She loved getting her nails done, makeup, purses, jewelry and cute shoes. She lived her life with a fierce, determined, confident Independence. She was bold, brave and fearless. She was sweet and even salty at times.
She began her battle with Brain Cancer in December of '04. Under the exemplary care of Dr. David Schiff, Neurologist, at UVA and an excellent team of interns/residents, P.A.s and nurses. A special thank you to Diane Rexrode R.N. and Amanda Lane R.N., whom Holly could count on, no matter the issue or concern. With the skilled care and compassion of Dr. Schiff and his team, Holly lived, laughed, loved and learned much longer than anyone expected. Dr. Schiff told her that he was so impressed by her. She had a tenacious ability to overcome and thrive against the odds. He even called her his "Poster Child". She never gave up and continued to set goals and achieve them, all while fighting her own war. She will be forever Loved, Missed and Remembered as a Beautiful, Bold, Brave, Fierce, Confident, and Fearless Warrior.
That is Holly Renee.
