Harry Lyle Messer

Harry Lyle Messer of Thaxton passed away on February 21, 2023.

He was born in North Carolina on June 25, 1939 to Hurshel C. Messer and Mabel Parrish Messer, both deceased.

Harry is survived by his wife, Betty Messer; four step children and their spouses; ten step grandchildren; sixteen, step great grandchildren; one step great great granddaughter; his sister, Joanne Turpin; and a special niece and nephew.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:00 until 10:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home following the visitation at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
