Frank Cameron Carroll Sr.

Frank Cameron Carroll, Sr born September 13, 1936 to Matt and Frances Carroll died April 11, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Phyllis Lancaster Carroll; sisters, Betty Richards and Ann Boyd; daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Carroll and Mike Shaver; son and daughter in law, Frank (Cameron) Carroll, Jr. And Tresha Barnhart Carroll; and grandchildren, Megan Lineberry and Rob Beheiter, Jazlynne Carroll, and Skylor Carroll.

Frank retired from Piedmont Airlines with 30 years of service. He was in the Naval Reserves for 8 years. Singing was his love starting early on the armchair of his beloved grandmother, Mamie Wertz. Later in life his singing career included church and school choirs. He helped form two singing groups in his early teens, the first group sang gospel music and the second was the “4tones” singing 50’s music that included local television shows. Frank also did solos for church choirs and weddings including his own.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to lifetime friend, Guy Mowbray; sister-in-law, Betsy Coles; and brother-in-law, Jackie Lancaster. Special remembrance of his “brother” from another “mother” Gerald Wingo.

In lieu of a funeral service a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
