Florence Juanita Coulter

Florence "Flo" Juanita Coulter age 74 of Vinton, VA died after complications brought on by a recent heart surgery. She passed away at midnight on Thursday, February 21st, 2019 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She is preceeded in death by her father Edward Frank Ebelein and her mother Mildred Snyder King of Lynchburg, VA, as well as her two brothers Floyd James Cox and William "Bill" Lee Hopkins both of NC. She leaves behind her son John Samuel Whitcomb III, daughter-in-law Angela Dawn Whitcomb, and grand daughter Brayley Anice Whitcomb, who reside in Salem, VA. She also leaves behind many beloved in laws and nephews Chris, Butch and niece Dorey all of NC.

Florence grew up in Lynchburg, VA and attendend E.C. Glass H.S. and obtained a degree in business at Phillips Business College. She later moved to the Roanoke area and made this her home. Flo enjoyed the company of her friends, family, and fellow church members at Faith Baptist Church in Salem, VA  She was also blessed to make some dear friends at the Good Samaritain Hospice in Roanoke where she did office cleaning during the week. You could always find her hanging out at the Williamson Road Pancake House with her friends enjoying a cup of coffee.

Florence loved her family, friends & those in her church. To all that loved her, thank you and God bless you.

A funeral service will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, 1330 East Main Street, on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 4:00 PM. A committal service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Sherwood Memorial Park.
