Ernest Robert Miller Jr. born January 15, 1941 to Ernest Robert Miller Sr. and Pauline Thompson Miller in Roanoke, Virginia.
He retired from Roanoke County General Services after 33 years of service. He later worked for Shuttle Service at Lewis Gale Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Elizabeth Miller, of Salem, VA.; sons, Bobby Miller and wife Theresa, of Mount Airy, NC, Ronald Miller and wife Lisa, of Goodview, VA; grandchildren, Eric Miller (Taylar), of Lynchburg, Va., Jason Miller (Kelly), of Roanoke, VA, Lindsay Miller (fiancé Timothy), of Mount Airy, NC., Ronald Miller Jr, of Salem, Va., Brian Gibson, of Winston Salem, NC; four great grandchildren, Kody Miller, Brayson Miller, Chandler Miller, and Owen Miller; one brother, William Miller..
Mr. Miller was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish also loved to ride motorcycles. He attended Edgewood Christian Church for many years and never met a stranger.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Virginia Minton, Libby Matherly, Reba Miller; 2 brothers, Ralph Miller, Raymond Miller.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem at other times the family may be visited at 704 Kessler Mill Rd, Salem, VA. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 11 a.m. at Edgewood Christian Church, 1006 Peck Street, Roanoke, Va. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
