Eric Lee Conner

October 3, 1967 ~ November 25, 2020 (age 53) 53 Years Old

Tribute

Sadly, and with heavy hearts, we are announcing the death of Eric Lee Conner, 53 of Salem/Floyd.  He died unexpectantly on 11/25/2020 because of a very progressive chronic heart and lung illness.  He is preceded in death by his mother Donna Leah Bandy LaMay, niece Chelsea Leah-Jordan Altice, Aunt Joyce Wallace, maternal grandparents Dorothy and Ellis Bandy, paternal grandparents Marilyn and Harold LaMay.

He is survived by his children Cassidy, Jase, and Ryan, his dad, Wayne LaMay, Sr, sister and brother-in-law, Danica and Ian Schofield, sister Tammy Altice and brother-in-law Daniel Altice, Sr, brother and brother-in-law, T.J. and Mike Rangel, brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Jamie LaMay, brother and sister-in-law George and Emily LaMay, sister and brother-in-law, Megan and James Smitheman, nieces Jamie and significant other James,  Sabrina, Joslynn, and Rose.  Nephews Daniel Altice, Jr and wife Cheyenne, Joey, Jon and significant other, Jasmine, Jacob, and LJ.  His family also includes great niece Luna and great nephews, Mitchell, Lyon, Kameron, and Leon, uncle and wife, Darryl and Joyce Bandy, uncle and wife Keith and Cindy LaMay, uncle and wife Bernard and Becky LaMay, and mother of his children, Stephanie Conner.  There are also many cousins and friends that he loved dearly.  Please know you were all in his heart.

Eric was a proud Christian, son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  He had such a big heart and silly personality.  He would make everyone laugh even when he did not mean to.  He loved wholly and with all that he had.  He was a very giving, selfless person.  Eric had many great qualities throughout his life, but his greatest achievement was fatherhood.  His children were his life, and he will watch over them for the rest of theirs.

He worked hard with every endeavor he encountered and was never a quitter.  He fought right up to the last chime when God called him home.  His story ended and his soul is now free as he sits beside our Lord and Savior.  He is probably holding his mother and other family members tightly right now with the same love given to us all.

“Never forget yesterday but always live for today.  You never know what tomorrow can bring, or what it can take away”.

Eric, you are so very loved and will be forever missed by all who were blessed to be part of your life…rest in peace, you are free.
