Eli Walter Blevins Jr.

Blessed is the Father who puts family first……

Eli Walter Blevins, Jr., of Salem, went to his heavenly home on June 25, 2019.  Eli was preceded in death by his parents, Eli Walter, Sr. and Anna Mae Blevins; his brothers, Roy, Marvin, Jimmy, Jerry Blevins and his wife, Barbara; his sisters, Hazel Altizer and husband, Howard, Mae Blevins; his nephew, Ronnie Blevins, Sr.; and his son, Steven Lee Blevins.

Eli will be missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Clara; his sons, Darrell Blevins and wife, Debbie; grandsons, Tyler and Brad, Randall Blevins, and wife, Angela; grandson, Eli Blevins and wife, Kristen; granddaughter, Dorey Anderson and husband, Jacob; Jason Blevins and wife, Bret; grandson, Nathan; granddaughters, Natalie and Norah; granddaughters, Kari Barnes and husband, Michael; great grandchildren, Lucas, Karlie, Conner; Brianna Blevins and Mark Williams; great grandchild, Hayden; brother, Robert Gail Blevins; sisters, Ella Trail, Helen Graves and husband, Marshall; sister-in-law, Wanda Blevins, Nora Blevins Reid, and Joyce Blevins; special niece Sandy Thompson and husband, JD; special nephew, Danny Blevins and wife, Amy; dear friends, James and Shirley Christian; and many good friends and neighbors.

Eli was born August 2, 1932 in Grassy Creek, North Carolina. Served in active duty in the Korean War.  He retired after 34 years with Eli Lilly Company as a Master Tool and Dye Maker.  He was a member of New Creations Ministries Church.  Eli enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, especially his trips to Canada, Bluegrass music, anything with family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 28, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Rick Elmore officiating.
