Edward "Eddie" F. Hanvey

Edward “Eddie” F. Hanvey went Home to THE LORD on October 07, 2023.

Eddie was born on June 28, 1946 in Danville, VA.

Eddie was a very intelligent and highly accomplished man. He earned several associate’s degrees and was a go-to handyman. The maintenance knowledge was in large part self-taught.

Eddie’s family is very proud of his creativity. He could draw and paint anything he wanted,  freestyle.  And he wrote dozens (atleast)of beautiful poems.

Eddie loved his family so very much. He never failed to call and to write to his parents faithfully when they resided in different states. He was a faithful penpal to

his nieces and nephews. He wanted those children to feel special by getting their own mail, and he accomplished that goal.

Eddie loved JESUS and wanted to show the love of CHRIST by taking part in a Christian support group.  He wanted those still struggling with some things to know that GOD could free them, as well.

Among Eddie’s Heavenly welcoming committee are his parents, Norman and Dorothy Hanvey, brothers, James, David, and Michael, and some nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his brother, Claude Hanvey and sisters, Dale Greene and Joanne Helms and a host of nieces and nephews.

His siblings want it said that they love him very much and that he will be greatly missed.
