Earl Ellsworth Fetters, 92, of Roanoke, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was born on April 4, 1928 in Ruffs Dale, PA.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Alma
Sutphin Fetters; parents, Ellsworth and Edith Fetters; and a grandson in-law, Steven Short.
Mr. Fetters served in the United States Army Infantry during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was employed at Roanoke Engraving for 12 years, Manager and Art Director of Collegiate Pacific for 20 years, and retired from Shirts and Other Stuff in 2003.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy F. Holcomb and son-in-law, Timothy; grandchildren, Ashley Short, T.Scott Holcomb and wife, Anna Brooks; and Amanda Holcomb; five great grandchildren, Avery, Carson and Grayson Short, and Harper and Elizabeth Holcomb; sister-in-law, Golda Kanode.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1 p.m. in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road, Roanoke, VA. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
