Dorothy Lee Beckner Morris

Dorothy Lee Beckner Morris, 89, of Salem passed away on May 18, 2023.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of 71 years to Fred H. Morris, who survives, and the daughter of Leonard Beckner and Lucille Beckner Taylor. Dorothy was a longtime member of Ridgewood Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Gail Quackenbush and Nancy Edwards; five grandchildren, Angela Horsley and husband Brian, Derek Quackenbush, Blake Quackenbush, Kai Scales, and Micah Scales and wife Britney; two great grandchildren, Sydney Pressley and husband Clay and Savannah Quackenbush; one great great granddaughter, Avery Pressley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm and on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home following the visitation on Monday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Roy Kanode officiating. Burial will be held in Sherwood Memorial Park.
