Dorothy Ann Cowan Lee

Dorothy Ann Cowan Lee, 89, of Roanoke passed away on January 7, 2022 at her residence.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of the late Richard Edward Lee and the daughter of Leo Anderson Cowan and Ruby McFarland Cowan, both deceased. Dorothy loved her family and was an exceptional grandmother. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and quilting.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth Lee Hall and husband Eric; her son, Ricky Steven “Rick” Lee and wife Karen; four grandchildren, Patrick Hall and wife Michelle, Lee Hall, Matthew Steven Lee and wife Katie, and Mary-Kathryn Bailey and husband Ryan; four great grandchildren, Evan Lee, Anson Lee, Reagan Bailey, and Olivia Bailey; and three siblings, Penny Keys and husband Allen, Leon Cowan, and Gary Cowan and wife Cathy.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three siblings, Ralph Cowan, Gene Cowan, and Mary Helen Crotts.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Irby officiating.
