Donald "Doomie" Lukehart

Donald “Doomie” Lukehart, 89, of Salem passed away at Lewis Gale Medical Center on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

A native of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania he was the husband of the late Jacquelyn Lukehart and son of Clair and Blanche Lukehart, both deceased. Donald was retired from the United States Army. He was a member of Riverside Evangelical Methodist Church in Salem and also a member of The Elks in Pennsylvania.

Donald is survived by two daughters, Dawn Kirby and husband Mel and Janice Lukehart; three grandchildren, Melanie Kirby, Maura Rusinko and husband Lance, and Auttum Powell and husband Kevin; and two great grandsons, Aiden Kirby and David Powell.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his son, David Lukehart.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, 1330 East Main Street, on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Salem on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 am by Pastor Brian Gordon. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park with military honors.
