DIANE LYNN NELSON

Diane (St.Clair) Nelson, 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep February 10th, 2020. She was a lifelong resident of her hometown, Salem, Virginia. Diane is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bill and Marlene St.Clair.

She leaves behind her daughter, Jill Nelson and granddaughter Stella St.Clair; her siblings, Thom St.Clair, Julie Kolb, and William D St.Clair. Diane also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that lovingly called her "Sissy”.

From knitting, Neil Diamond, her collection of knick knacks, and her volunteering work, Diane loved a lot of things, but nothing more than her pets throughout the years. Whether she was fighting one of her many medical battles or enjoying life, her pets were by her side. She was a proud Grandma that loved her faith and God.

A private celebration of Diane's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her daughter suggests a donation to either the Crohn's And Colitis Foundation (https://www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/  ) or Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary ( https://ofsds.org/ ) to honor Diane's life and memory.
