Claudette Eakers Hackett

Claudette Eakers Hackett of Salem, VA passed away peacefully at Richfield Rehabilitation Center, Salem. She was born to parents Chadwich and Ruby Eakers of Georgia who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Hackett; two sisters, Frances Smith and Betty Scoggins; nephew, Arthur Gaylor, Jr.; and niece, Frances Robertson.

She is survived by her nieces, Pat Willard, Sonya Frazier, Judy Hopkins, and Kay Hicks; nephews, Stanley Scoggins and J. Claude Smith; and her dear friend, Ruth Chocklett.

Claudette was retired from Richfield Nursing Home, Salem, VA where she proudly dedicated 38 years of her life. She loved her Richfield family. She continued living with some of those people at Independent Living Richcrest, Salem, VA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Salem at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
