Christine Hoy “Davis” Falls, 97, of Salem passed away on April 16, 2024.
Christine was born in Virginia on November 16, 1926 to Hoy Walter Davis and Gladys Owens Davis, both deceased. She met the love of her life in 1984 and later married Willard O. Davis, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rosemary Alene (Martin) Paxton; two sisters, Mary Ellen Turner and Virginia “Ginny” Price; and her brother, Junius Davis. Christine was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Salem for many years. She was also a stock car racing enthusiast.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pamela Anne (Martin) Lucas; three grandchildren, Angela (Jamie) Linkous, Billy (Kris) Ellison, and Amber Long; great grandchildren, Jessica (Josh) Simpkins, James D. Caldwell, Nicholas Ellison, and Ashley Ellison; and great great grandchildren, Jacob VanHoy, Skye Simpkins, and Jessica (Jessie) Simpkins.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 12:00 until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home in Salem at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.
