Betty P. Lancaster

Betty June Perdue Lancaster, 89, of Goodview, Virginia, passed on to her eternal home on Sunday, July 18, 2021. 

She was born in Tralee, West Virginia on May 23, 1932, a daughter of the late Oma Luck and Nellie White Perdue.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Wallace Lancaster.

She is survived by her three children, Bonnie L. Searcy (Sam) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Debra L. Andrews (Wayne) of Bedford, Virginia, and Michael W. Lancaster of Moneta, Virginia; four grandchildren, Faith M. Allen (Chris), Bryce L. Martin (Lauren),  Dr. Ryan P. Searcy and Lauren E. Searcy; two great grandchildren, Liam and Levi Allen; sister, Ruth Gearhart of Roanoke, Virginia; and brother, Larry Perdue of Blue Ridge, Virginia; several sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, Virginia is handling arrangements.  Visitation and viewing will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel with a graveside service at 2 p.m. in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. Pastor John R. Ivins will be officiating the service.

Our family would like to sincerely thank all of the staff who cared for Mom while at Carriage Hill Memory Care, Centra Hospice in Bedford and during her visits to Centra Hospital in Bedford.  Your kindness and compassion meant so very much during this challenging time.
