Barry Lynn Davis, 67, of Salem, Va., passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Duke Medical Center after a short illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grant Calvin and Katherine Altice Davis; brothers, G.C. Jr., Kenneth Davis. 

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Donna Davis; daughter, Nina (Sebert) Arnold; son, Matthew (Lindsay) Davis; Mr. Kitty (his beloved cat); brothers, Beverly (Deborah) Davis and John Wesley Davis; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Barry was a loving husband, father and friend who was an avid fisherman and firearms enthusiast with a passionate hobby for woodworking. He was retired from VDOT after 45 years of employment and a member of LGUMC. He will truly be missed by all. 

Celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Locust Grove United Methodist Church, Salem, VA. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
