Arnold "Ody" Stokes

Arnold “Ody” Stokes, 59, of Salem passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his residence.

A native of Roanoke, Virginia he was the husband of Doreen Stokes, who survives, and the son of Lonnie Buford Stokes and Lula Ethelon Baugus Stokes, both deceased. Ody was an avid NASCAR fan and football fan. He enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Arnold Wade Ody Stokes; two grandchildren; and his sister, Deborah Stokes of Walkertown, NC.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother and sister in law, Dennis and Nona Putnam; and his faithful dog Schatze.

At Ody’s request no services will be held.
