Wanda Hartman Flippo

Wanda Hartman Flippo, 70, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, went home to be
with her Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2017.
She was born on December 30, 1946 to Brandon and Laura Simmons Hartman.  Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David L. Flippo, Sr. (Larry); brother, Tommy Hartman.
Left to cherish her memories, her children; Michelle (Joe) Weaver,
David (Michele) Flippo; grand-daughters, Brittany and Alyssa Weaver, Lauren Flippo; siblings, Jerry (Jane) Hartman, Pete (Alice)
Hartman, Sandy Calhoun, Ruby Ragland and Kathy (Mike) Zimmerman,
6 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and her kitty cat, Mommy.
She was a special Mom, Nana, Sister and Friend.  She would share anything she had with you and she never met a stranger.   Prior to her illness, she loved working in her yard, flower gardens, keeping house and spending time with her family and friends.  A special thank you her care givers, she loved you all and appreciated everything you did for her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017, 2 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Bill Pegen officiating.
