WILLIAM CHARLES ALDRIDGE

William Charles Aldridge, Sr., 82, of Salem, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 10, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard W. Aldridge and Dora B. Aldridge; son, Lloyd J. Aldridge.
His surviving family includes his wife, Geraldine “Dean” Aldridge;  children, Wanda A. Fuschino (Larry), Rebecca L. Aldridge, Mark A. Aldridge, William C. Aldridge, Jr; step-children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Montanna D. Houchins, Janet R. Taylor.
Bill retired from Norfolk Southern after 35 years of service.  He was an active member of  Southside Baptist Church, Goodview, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Donnie Glass officiating.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from noon to 2 p.m.
