MARK WOODROW HUNT

Mark Woodrow Hunt, 89, of Roanoke, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.  Mark was a loving husband, father and granddad.  He served in the Army during the Korean War.  He retired from Norfolk and Western Railway after 44 years.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dollie Hunt and 13 siblings. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Iris Rachel Hunt; son, Brenton Mark Hunt and wife, Karon; and a granddaughter, Amber Caitlin Hunt; special sister-in-law, Alene Reese Richardson. 

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017 and funeral services will be Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel.  Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia.  Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and the nurses and staff at Brookdale Assisted Living Salem.
