During my grandmother's time at Salem Terrace, Evelyn was the first face that I'd see when I entered the lobby. Always impeccably dressed, with her hair and makeup perfect and with a thick book on her lap, Evelyn would fill me in on what was "really going on" before I went down to see my grandmother. Evelyn was my grandmother's first friend at Salem Terrace, and I still remember hearing about their early days together at the retirement home - when they would be the only people at movie night. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was very saddened for the loss of your beautiful, precious mother. She and I had such fun conversations when Paul was at Salem Terrace. I am so sorry I could not find your phone numbers, Kay and Carol but my love and deepest sympathy is sent to you and all the family. She was one special lady and I was proud to have known her.

Kay, I just learned of your Mom's passing. I'm so sorry that I did not know sooner. Your Mom was a great lady for whom I had the greatest respect. The video really brought back fondest memories of our growing up, especially being neighbors living right across the street from each other. Evelyn was one of the brightest spots in my career at Salem Terrace. She became my surrogate mother as soon as I met her. I know Evelyn and my mother will be friends in heaven. We will all miss her smile, wit, and love. Carol and Kay, you are both wonderful ladies and I am so happy to know you both.
