Brianna Gayle Davis, age 31, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Lewis Gale Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.
Brianna was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Dore and Elizabeth Yount Davis and by her maternal grandparents, Warren and Hazel Harrison.
She is survived by her parents Tom and Patricia Davis, Abingdon, VA, her brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Amanda Davis, four nieces Onalee, Willow, Anabelle, and Adelaide and nephew Asher Davis, Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by several uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was pet parent to bulldogs, Delilah Jane and Milla.
Brianna was graduated from Abingdon High School in 2001. She attended Virginia Tech where she studied Biology. She was employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Greg Skinner, DDS, Roanoke, VA. She previously worked at the Roanoke Rescue Mission in the Women and Children’s Shelter. Brianna participated in three dental missions to Haiti and to Panama through Living Water Christian Church, Salem, Virginia.
She grew up in Pleasantview Methodist Church, Abingdon, VA.
Special appreciation is extended to the staff of Lewis Gale Medical Center for the excellent care she received and to Pastor Paul Hatfield and the congregation of Living Water Christian Church for their outreach to Brianna during her medical crisis.
A celebration of Brianna’s life was held Sunday August 17 2014 at Living Water Christian Church.
